1. Disconnect and isolate the battery ground cable, 2. Loosen the fan drive belt and remove the bolts securing the radiator fan shroud and cooling fan. 3. Remove the shroud fan. 3. Remove the accessory drive belts and the water pump pulley. Camshaft sprocket timing mark. 1.3L SOHC engine, models built before June 1993. Crankshaft timing belt pulley bolt, Punch mark, Arrow mark, crankshaft timing belt. Valve lash adjustment. 1994 and earlier 1.3 L SOHC engine. On the sidekick models, follow this guide : Install the fan shroud. Connect the upper radiator hose and adjust the coolant level as required. Install the water pump pulley, engine cooling fan and the drive belt. Refer to last page for proper belt tension.
